Patriot? Sailor? I'm not sure where the inspiration for this colour palette came from, as I'm really not usually a red trouser kind of girl; but the feeling of summer must have come over me in full swing, as I'm currently finding myself more and more drawn to bright colours and vibrant prints. Alongside my attempts at steering away from the colour black within my wardrobe, I'm attempting to rely upon my trusty pairs of jeans less, and instead opt for more trousers, skirts and dresses within my summer wardrobe.
I think it's important to challenge your own personal style every now and then, as it become easy to become reliant on pieces you feel too comfortable in. Without really considering it, I have become programmed to automatically reach for my jeans, before even considering what I'm planning to wear. Stepping out of your comfort zone, no matter how small that step may be, is paramount to progression - in any format!

If there's one this I love in fashion, it's being pleasantly surprised by brands I wouldn't usually think to browse. British Supermarket Sainsbury's has never been on my radar of places I shop, however, their collaboration between their clothing brand Tu and Gok Wan caught my attention through their bold colours and prints. And what better opportunity to dare to wear red trousers!

Oh and you can check out the entire Gok for Tu colourful collection here.
