Fashion blogger wears the cool line UK silk scarf styling all black outfit

If there's one thing I'm incredibly guilty of, it's wearing far to much black in the winter months (and all the other months also... but lets just focus on winter right now). I find it far too simple to just slip back into my black jeans and a black jacket, throw on a black scarf, and head off looking like the Goth I secretly longed to be. Black is easy, it's wearable, but it's also super boring and unimaginative, especially when you've been wearing a similar style outfit everyday for the past 3 months. Now I know I'm not the only one who's guilty of this, there must be other closet Goth's around too, right? So how can we mix things up and throw in some colour, without looking like a shaken up rainbow in the middle of winter? I think the answer is to focus all of your colour on one statement piece. This way you can remain in your Black comfort zone, but still attract plenty of attention from your eye-catching piece! I personally really love a good statement scarf, so this was definitely my item of choice to mix up an all black outfit...

So this is how I've been adding a pop of colour into my winter wardrobe recently! This beautiful scarf from The Cool Line is right up my street; I especially love the geometric print, and the way it's not conventionally symmetrical in the pattern; it's these kind of details that make a statement piece super eye-catching. Not only does it look great, it also feels amazinggggg! The fact that it's digitally printed and 100% silk make it feel super luxurious, as you can really tell you're wearing a high-quality product ... So much so that I really have to stop myself from stroking it against my face all day (probably for the best- I'm aiming for eye-catching for all the right reasons).
There's also a whole range of different patterns and bright colours available from The Cool Line's website, so if you're looking for a great quality statement piece, or struggling to find a perfect luxury gift for someone, these scarves are definitely worth a look! (Note to any guys reading: Valentines is quickly approaching, I'm sorting you out!)

Also, have I mentioned how much I love my new boots yet? If you've caught up with my last post or follow me on Twitter, you're probably thinking 'Alright Kitty, that's enough about those bloody boots now', because basically, I just can't stop talking about them. But guess what... that's not stopping any time soon. They're probably going to be a continuous feature on this blog for the next few months, so please mentally prepare yourselves for more posts that discuss how wonderful they are... #sorrynotsorry

  2. I adore those boots! Love the scarf tucked into the belt look as well. I've been quite brave recently with colour but agree about just one statement colour piece!
