Before we begin... if you haven't already got some kind of Christmas medley of songs on in the background right now, then I suggest you stop what you're doing immediately, open up YouTube and search 'I wish it could be Christmas everyday' ...Better yet, I'll do it for you (Click here for all kinds of Christmas goodness)
Now, if it isn't already obvious, I should probably point out that I really love Christmas... like really, really love it. I'm the kind of annoying person who wants to put the tree up as soon as Halloween is over, and is super keen to get the Christmas jumpers out from mid November! So, you can imagine my happiness levels when the lovely people at Laura Ashley got in touch with me last month and asked if I wanted to do a guest feature on their blog all about, wait for it... Christmas jumpers!

I was obviously super excited- not only because it was lovely to be asked to be guest blogger for such a great brand, but also because this meant that I could have a perfectly valid excuse to be wearing Christmas jumpers every day throughout November and December! Luckily for myself and everyone who has been seen out in public with me over the last month, Laura Ashley's festive designs are not the typical in your face style Christmas jumper. They are beautifully subtle, and can really just be worn at any time throughout winter, due to the lack on Father Christmas faces or Reindeer ears.

I was challenged to style 3 different festive jumpers from Laura Asheys winter knitwear range into wearable day-to-day outfits. So here's how I got on with the first of 3:

First of all, let me tell you - this jumper is as cosy as it looks! To say Newcastle has been pretty damn cold over the past few weeks would be a bit of an understatement! And even more so than usual on the day I chose to take these outfit photographs, when the 50mph winds were definitely NOT in my favour! But this super cuddly jumper actually did a great job at keeping me warm all afternoon, it's really been a brilliant addition to my winter wardrobe. I styled it pretty casually with a pair of skinny black jeans and my extremely over-worn leather jacket (it's really time I got a new one!). These grey boots from Primark were also such a great purchase, at £14 you really can't go wrong!

Stay tuned for 2 more additions to the Wearable Festive Jumper posts and don't forget to check out the Laura Ashley blog here!
