New Home Haul and Tour

Last month I took a big girl step and moved into my very own one bedroom flat! It was such a big change for me and a huge adjustment from living in an 8 bedroom shared student house. For the last 3 years I've been surrounded by 8 people (often more) constantly being in the house. It was messy
and loud, but needless to say it was great fun, and for me, it was without a doubt the best part about going to university - living with your 8 amazing
friends! However, as the time came to graduate, we all sadly had to go our separate ways and start to grow up (probably overdue). So now I have my own place with my boyfriend, Sam. It's lovely, modern, warm and cosy - many qualities that my previous student homes definitely did not hold! It's also the first time I've ever had a full place to take control of décor wise (Sam tried to have a say but obviously I win, always). So obviously, I went a little online shopping crazy and ordered something new almost everyday. But hey, that's what new job wages are for!

Overall I went for a very monochrome look, in order to keep it bright and simple, but also to make sure it easily appealed to both mine and Sam's tastes. Although I did spend a fair amount of money to kit out the house in just a short amount of time, I still think I managed to do it keeping the costs pretty low, with most of my purchases being from either IKEA or H&M Home online! There are some lovely singular statement items that can really make a room come together, with prices as low as £1.99! Here's a sneak peak of the flat and items I've been buying...
