HIGH-END VS. HIGH-STREET BOOT DUPES

Before Christmas, I was pining over this pair of black suede heeled boots from Mango. The main thing I loved about them was the length, I really liked the way they didn't stop bang on the ankle, neither did they carry on all the way up to the knee. Instead they sat somewhere in between on the calf; I knew I didn't have anything of a similar style in my shoe collection, and for that reason I was drawn to them. As well as this, I also recognised that they bared a resemblance to a pair of Isabel Marant boots I'd previously seen Kendall Jenner wearing. For obvious reasons, I cannot afford a pair of £919 boots (maybe one day)... But before Christmas, I couldn't even afford the beautiful Mango dupes I'd stumbled upon either... I was heartbroken. But luckily, Sam saw me crying over not being able to afford them on Twitter (that's what people use Twitter for, right? ..no, just me?), and decided to surprise me with them as part of my Christmas present; top boyfriend points!

So I thought I'd use this opportunity to write another designer shoe dupes style post, as my last one went down really well. But this time, I thought I'd focus entirely on boots. There's so many different styles I'm really wanting to purchase at the minute, but these are my best picks right now. I've never really been that adventurous with boots, but something really drew me to the snake print pattern. I think they'd look great as a statement piece worn with a completely black outfit. And I also can't believe this dupe pair is only £36; pretty cheap for Topshop!

I also have a feeling that Western style boots are going to be quite a thing this year. Two of my favourite bloggers, Sincerely Jules and Something Navy are often wearing similar styles and always make them look really wearable. I've never  seen them fitting into my wardrobe very well before, but maybe 2016 will be the year I turn a bit western?

See the links below for both the high end and the high street versions featured above ...and some more pictures of my beautiful boots, because, well, aren't they just beautiful?

  2. Love these! I swear half the time I much prefer the look of cheaper dupes. They may not last as long and be as good quality and often you'll see 20 other people down the street wearing the same pair, but I still often prefer the looks!

    1. Exactly! I agree! I also find that I get bored of styles quite quickly too, so there's just no point spending so much money just so they will last longer - as I'll probably want new ones by that point anyway haha xx
