Last weekend I had the honour of being a Bridesmaid for my very own Father's Wedding Day. It was such a special day, filled with love and joy, and I was so glad to see my lovely Dad on top of the world with happiness.

I just thought I would share a few snaps from the weekend because I was so lucky to get to wear an absolutely beautiful Bridesmaid dress, but what makes it even more special is the fact it was just a simple high street find.

The bride and bridal party searched for hours through typical 'Bridesmaid Stores' and Online boutique's of Bridesmaid dresses with zero results. All the dresses seemed too stereotypically 'Prom' or 'Bridesmaidy'; all consisting of a floor-length, satin-finished, rich-coloured, gown-esque type styles. Which of course there is nothing wrong with. But this Bride was looking for something a bit different. So after giving up for a few weeks, and casually finding herself on in search for some casual wear, she came across the perfect dresses!

Dress - River Island - £30 (Sale Price)
Shoes - Next - £30
Shawl - Primark - £4

I absolutely love the detailing on this dress. The pale peach colour is a beautiful shade whilst still being extremely subtle enough to be able to show off all the gorgeous embellishment. The whole style of the dress reminds me of the dresses in The Great Gatsby, it's kind of got the 1920's vibe to it (minus the feather bower).  All in all it was a beautiful day, with a beautiful dress and an absolutely beautiful bride, here's a sneak peak at her dress (This ones definitely not on the high street!)... Utterly beautiful!
